Chocolate Plant-Based Pancakes

These yummy chocolate plant-based pancakes are superb for a weekend breakfast or if you just fancy something different during the week then this is a recipe for you. You don’t need eggs to create fluffy pancakes, check it yourself

Preparation Time: 5 minutes

Cooking Time: 10 - 12 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 190g self raising flour (I used gluten free)

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp berries (I used frozen)

  • 1.25 cup of plant based milk (or dairy)*

  • 2 tbsp @sweetfreedomuk Banana choc

  • 1.5 tbsp date nectar

Method:

  1. Stir all the ingredients together and make nice smooth butter. *Add a bit more milk if needed but it shouldn’t be watery.

  2. Then heat up 1 tsp of coconut oil and sure it’s hot before pouring the butter on a pan.

  3. Then use your spoon and pour the butter on the pan, create a nice circle with your spoon.

  4. Fry it and when you start seeing little holes appearing turn your pancakes and fry for 1-2 minutes on the other side.

  5. Top it off with whatever you fancy and find at home.
